Superman 68 – Luthor’s criminal elements

Luthor is shining bright on the cover of Superman 68 (Jan/Feb. 51).

Edmond Hamilton, Al Plastino and Stan Kaye have Luthor take umbrage against an eilte group of chemists for not including him, and sets out to vet vengeance by stealing chemicals.  Makes total sense.

Luthor even goes so far as to spell out his name with the chemicals.  Supermanium, invented a couple of years earlier by Superman, is used in the climax of this silly tale.
