Action 718 – Demolitia debuts

Demolitia, a female version of Bloodsport, is introduced by Michelinie, Dwyer and Rodier in Action 718 (Feb. 96).

At first this character seems like it will go the “feminazi” route, but they make her a more interesting person.

Superman discovers that she got into vigilantism after seeing the predatory behaviour among the survivors in the ruins of Metropolis.

When she realizes that her actions are harming the workers more than the construction company owner that is her target, she backs down.  Superman is surprised when she teleports away, as the earlier Bloodsports could only teleport their weapons.

This issue also has a scene in which Ron Troupe and Lucy Lane run into each other at the hospital, as she visits a friend and he works on the Demolitia story.  They just go for coffee.
